Hailing from a family of educators and musicians, in her maternal family, it was difficult at first for members to accept Anthea McGibbon's destiny to become an artist. Let alone understanding her varied pathways as a journalist, in the legal field and, the arts entertwining.
However, with determination, the challenges faced no support - financial and otherwise she stuck to her goal, led by the light of her ongoing vision to realise her skills and assist others to do the same for the betterment of everyone possible. A few thoughts continually ring loud -

Anthea McGibbon further created OAaSIS International Foundation, and a percentage of her earnings are put back in the entity owning no financial sponsors to date - February 2011. It is her belief that artists should lead by example, and seek ways to earn from their inborn skill than rely solely on sponsors unless a proper business agreement is arrived at so everybody investing also gains.
Currently she is negotiating operating expos at specific locations to sell art from artists who while earning have agreed to commit a percentage to the Foundation like herself.
OAaSIS empowers the creative mind of youth through several projects.
